Delegates from across Scotland will be meeting in Oban in February for an event exploring the
heritage and culture of Argyll and Bute.
Organised by Argyll & Bute Museums & Heritage Forum, ‘Connecting Conversations’ is open to
anyone who wishes to share their knowledge of or learn about, Argyll and Bute’s hidden cultural
gems.
Forum members hope that the event will help to build a better understanding of the region’s rich
heritage and traditions.
Anne Cleave, Chair of ABMHF, said: “Too often we confine our focus to the tangible: museums,
archives, and castles. But this hides the wider story of our valuable intangible heritage. intangible
heritage includes so much more of our lives and culture. It is our food and folklore; costume and
customs; skills and sports. It is our language and our literature.”
The Forum’s ‘Connecting Conversations’ event will take place on 23rd February 2023 at The Rockfield
Centre in Oban and is free to attend. For more information please email abmhforum@gmail.com or
