Museums Galleries Scotland have very generously provided the Forum with funding to undertake some exciting activities from November 2023 to July 2024

  • Community Meetings around Argyll and Bute : following on from the success of our Connecting Conversations event in early 2023 we are planning small meetings around our area to connect with heritage sector members, whether you are creative artists inspired by our past, heritage centres, community groups, volunteers involved in premises or organisations, or businesses who share our heritage with customers.
  • Heritage Cafes : we have learned how useful and positive having online heritage cafes have been to other Forums around Scotland and would like to offer this “safe space” to our members where we can share our experients, learn together, provide support and skills.
  • Mapping our Heritage : have you wondered how digital mapping works ? how to illustrate the hard work your group does online ? to describe our Argyll and Bute heritage sector to a wider audience ?
We will be offering training in how Open Source (free and well supported) Digital Mapping works, learning for ourselves and then creating a more dynamic website to help promote our whole sector online.
  • Developing the ABMHF Website : to include our own digital map, content about our institutional members, Argyll and Bute Heritage and updates on our activities.
