Call out for applications for the Argyll and Bute council events and festivals grants.

The Scottish Government has identified tourism and events as one of Scotland’s most important industries, helping to create wealth and jobs and build upon our strong international reputation.
A total budget of £113,000 has been allocated for 2019/20 by Argyll and Bute Council for strategic events. Due to the competitive nature and volume of applications, applicants must be aware that they may be unsuccessful in their attempt for funding.
The proposed fund is open only to organisers who are intending to hold strategic events and festivals, that is events and festivals which contribute significantly to the culture, heritage and economy of Argyll and Bute whilst reaching a national/international audience.

The Supporting Communities Fund 2019/20 will be opening for applications on 5th December 2018. The Closing Date for applications is 6th February 2019 for a decision by May 2019.
Applicants are able to apply for up to 100% of the total funding costs for any project / activity, up to the maximum award available, of £2,500. Organisations eligible to apply include voluntary, community, charities and social enterprises which may be involved in Sports and Leisure, Arts and Culture, Social Welfare or Education. This includes Community Councils and Parent Councils.
Eligible Projects or Events must take place from June 2019.
